Let's talk

// case study

dougrosenberg.com

A working musician's site built the way a real product gets built — searchable catalog, live theme switching, and interactions a page builder can't give a single-artist brand.

This is a personal artist site, built on the same Blazor WebAssembly stack as this portfolio, replacing a previous version. The goal was a site that does what a page-builder template can't: real search over a growing catalog, and a brand presentation that can flex per release without a redesign.

Musicians live and die by two things online — selling the music and being found by other players who want the sheet music. Both got dedicated, searchable sections rather than a flat page of links.

The six switchable color themes exist because an artist's visual identity shifts by album, tour, or season — the site needed to keep up with that without a rebuild every time.

// design & build highlights
01

Six Themes, Zero Reload

A full color-theme switcher persisted in localStorage — the site can match a new release's visual identity in one click, no redeploy required.

02

Searchable Sheet Music Library

Real search and filtering over a sheet-music catalog, built for other musicians looking for a specific chart — not a static PDF dump.

03

Album Showcase With Purchase Links

Album art gallery wired directly to purchase links, plus a responsive photo gallery with lightbox for press and promo shots.
